Accessed by its own gated lane and set in a private paddock, "Oliveduck Hut" is the perfect retreat for couples, or singles who prefer their own company. An ideal ‘base camp’ as you explore the National Park and surrounding area. Light a fire and get lazy, chill out in the hottub, star-gaze at the incredible night skies, or just take in the majestic Pen y Fan as you plan (or recover from) your ascent.

Breathtaking views.Inside you will find the Herdwick Hut has beautiful finishing's and incorporates a double bed a hob, sink, fridge and en-suite bathroom. Our cosy, beautifully fitted Shepherd's Hut with its own wood-fired hot tub is perfect for a romantic rural getaway. Nestled on the fringes of mature woodland on a small working farm, the hut is secluded with open views over the breathtaking Dulas Valley in rural Herefordshire. Relax in the private outside area, with charcoal barbeque, hammock and fire pit, and explore local walks, pubs, market towns and historical sites. Dogs are welcome. This hut is super cosy, but very well equipped and spacious inside (think tardis!). Guests say it is very comfortable, and it is all fully plumbed in. Everything you need. With stunning views of the Welsh Black Mountains, it sits nestled in a calming wildflower meadow with lots of wildlife - you might wake to see deer passing your window. Sadly, not suitable for dogs, young children or infants.

The Shepherd’s Shack; a taste of bygone life

An authentic shepherd's hut set beside a stream within its own private area of wild habitat, surrounded by farmland. The hut offers a true taste of the life as a bygone shepherd but with a little extra comfort! Situated within easy reach of the Wye Valley, Black Mountains, Brecon Beacons and Hay-on-Wye with wonderful walks from the hut steps. Dogs are welcome.
