COTC: Log Cabin Glamping

The Cabin on the Coulee is a lovely two story rustic log cabin on a complete section of land (640 acres - 250 ha) that overlooks a 200 acre Alberta coulee, making for an amazing view! It rents as a complete unit that sleeps up to 6 adults with a full bath on the main floor and a half bath upstairs. The cabin has a full sized refrigerator, range, a full kitchen (including dishes, cutlery and cookware), a propane gas BBQ, a wood stove, outdoor fire pits, high speed WiFi and a projector for movies.

This schoolhouse is the smallest one of two on the property. Country living extends to the outdoors on the private patio. Wrap yourself up in one of our vintage handmade quilts, breathe in the fresh country air and enjoy unobstructed views of neighbouring fields. Welcome to the cozy country log cabin art/spa getaway. Sit on the deck or in an outdoor cowboy tub and enjoy your morning coffee or around a crackling campfire at night. There is a bbq hut, yard and board games to play and your dogs can play freely. Inside, the gas fireplace is warm and inviting. SPA mani/pedi basket ART and POTTERY workshop available with your host. Two miles from a lake, river and country store All Guests will need to provide ID verification before checking in.

Half Moon Guest House

The Half Moon Guest House is quiet & peaceful, unique accommodation, comfortable atmosphere and friendly hospitality. It's only a few minutes to Wells Gray Park and 4 km from town. The guest house is on the same property as the owner's house. On our little mini ranch we have 5 horses, 2 friendly pup's and one cute little kitten. The kitchen is fully equipped with dishes, pots, pans, etc. We also provide coffee/tea. Our Guests can use the fire pit and barbecue and relax on the patio.

PETE’S PLACE

Farm Cottage near Steep Rock. Cottage is 7 km (5 min drive) to the village of Steep Rock, and is a paved highway (currently under construction 2024) It's a great area for canoeing, kayaking, and boating on the lake, swimming and photography. Cottage has a deck with a BBQ, and a fire pit and hammocks in the yard. In Winter you can cross country ski or snowshoe on the property. Occasionally you can see the northern lights, generally in Winter. There is now also a sauna for guests.

Modernized in 2020 with full bathroom and kitchenette, it’s a vast change from when my Grandfather built it for shelter from the harsh prairie winters. The logs were harvested over 100 years ago in the Saddlehills and brought to this working family grain farm. Now it’s all play & relax!
