In winter, enjoy a day of skiing or sledding at nearby Beech Mountain or Sugar Mountain. Jonas Ridge Snow Tubing is also nearby. Return home, build a snowman and enjoy the gas log fireplace which takes the mountain chill off the evenings. For mtn biking, you will be minutes away from the trails at Lees-McRae College as well as the bike parks at Sugar and Beech Mountains during the summer. In the winter, you'll have several skiing and snow tubing options within a few miles as we are within 10-15 minutes to Beech or Sugar. Wildcat lake is at the bottom of our street. Bring your fishing gear or kayaks/stand-up boards!
