The Magical Cabin on Back Creek

Magic is the word most people use when they visit this hidden gem. Built in 1939 as a fishing cabin by a gentleman who incorporated box cars as rafters and beams, dates still visible since removing the attic. By far the best place I've ever lived. I decided to share it with others who love to explore, who love listening to the voice of the creek or who come just to sit on the porch high above the creek with a spouse, friend, family, or alone. Unwind in a spacious tiny home on a working farm with vegetables, herbs, fruits, dairy goats, sheep, and chickens. Enjoy the views, farm fresh food, local hiking and swimming holes, or if it's cold, cozy up by the wood stove! We offer sliding scale farm-to-table dinners on weekends. We love sharing our farmstead with guests and also understand if guests prefer tranquil time to themselves. We are a 20 min drive to Dragon's Tooth, and 10 minutes to VA42 (Kelly Knob or the Keffer Oak).

Sit in front of the 100 year-old (gas) fireplace, or enjoy the outdoor fire pit. Hike on private Virginia Highland trails. 11 miles south of HWY 81. Conveniently located to New River Trail, Iron Heart Winery. The perfect getaway! Notice for winter guests-4 wheel drive is needed in icy or snowy conditions.

The Cabin is a luxurious rural escape, with a 3-person hot tub. Located on a permaculture homestead and native plant sanctuary, the space overlooks the garden and is surrounded by forest. Natural/local materials were used throughout (built in 2023). Our rustic cabin is a 100+ year old restored cabin. It features an open floor plan with a cathedral wooden ceiling. Enjoy the comfy new mattress on the queen size bed. The TV has Dish Network programming. Outside, relax by swinging on the porch or, enjoy some time around the firepit and watch the sun set! The rustic cabin is located in a rural neighborhood, just off the beautiful Blue Ridge Parkway.

Enchanted cozy cabin " Whispering Pines " located 5 minutes off I-77 in Bland, Va. Our cabin is located on 8 acres of property and full of various types of wildlife. Sometimes, you will see bear, deer, wild turkey, and squirrels. We also live on the property, but the cabin is private and tucked away within the beautiful whispering pines.
