The Bakoni Hide-Away, Schoemanskloof

The Bakoni Hide-Away is an off-the-grid retreat, ideal for a romantic getaway for lovers of the African bush. Unfenced, it is set on a remote spot on the side of a mountain with abundant birdlife, buck and other game around. The design was inspired by the many stone circles that occur in this region and the Bakoni people who are believed to have roamed the area in the past. It is ideal for couples and 2 older children can be accommodated on the mezzanine floor if privacy is not a requirement.

Tranquility at its best, lounge on the patio and watch the elephants go by or enjoy a sundowner in the loft and gaze into the game reserve. This is the place to be to relax and unwind in the bush. The lodge has a gym and swimming pool. There is also a study with a place to work, and a bookcase with books to read.
