A unique river retreat for relaxing and viewing wildlife. We are minutes from extensive trails and about an hour from Lassen Park. Our house has fragile and antique components and is not suited for pets, groups or children. If you are ok with quirky, imperfect, au natural and "wild" (possibility of snakes and spiders) we have your place! With windows along most of the east side, you will almost always have a view of the Sacramento River. This is not a cookie cutter house—please read listing.

As you turn onto Thatcher Mill you'll feel the comfort of this mountain retreat. Your tranquil drives ends at this 12 year old home that we call our cabin. It's well built and sits off the road a bit and invites you to relax and enjoy what the Lake McCumber /Mt Lassen community has to offer. The sounds of silence radiates through the trees and gives that sense of calm we all wish for in our daily lives. Once inside you find it a comfortable stay. Backyard is awesome! Stay another day!

Spend time in a quiet and peace-filledl getaway. Relax on the back patio, spend time with your dog in the gated front yard or enjoy the cool of the AC inside. Shasta Dam, Shasta Lake and Centimudi boat ramp are only 2 miles away. There are also a couple great hikes and walks close by to enjoy. Plus, if you have a boat/trailer, there is room for it in the driveway. Be on the watch for the wild deer and turkeys; and listen for the frogs at night!
