Turn Left into the driveway for the Mercerwood Shoreclub--- that address is 4150 E. Mercer Way. Turn left again on the road between the club and the tennis courts. The first house you see is ours. Please park behind the garage on the left side near the blue hose. There is a wooden gate. Please go up the stairs. At the top of the stairs TURN RIGHT and Left and right again to the end of the house. You will see red chairs in front of your space. The code to open the door is. Our cottage sits above Lake Washington with a beautiful water view. A peaceful respite, yet so close to the city. You can barbeque on the deck and watch the boats go by as ospreys fish in the little marina just below. Walk or ride bikes along Lake Wa. Blvd. to Seward Park offering its old-growth forest and pretty lakeside loop just one mile away. A short walk takes you to coffee shops and vibrant Columbia City is just 1.4 miles away with a convenient light rail station in the center of town.

Located on the first floor of a 1-bedroom, 1-bathroom mid-century house, complete with original architectural details, period furniture, a working stereo system and a small collection of LPs to get you in the groove. The space overlooks a secluded yard of old growth trees, stone paths and patio. Queen bed, WiFi, full kitchen, private bathroom with shower, combo washer/dryer, and a queen-size pull-out sofa bed in living room. Two steps lead to a sunken living room, otherwise all on one level.

Mercer Island is fantastic to bicycle – we’ve provided 2 adult bikes and 2 kids bikes, along with helmets. Exploring the gorgeous Pacific Northwest is so easy from here; Mt. Rainier, the Olympic Peninsula, the San Juan Islands are all within 2 hours.

You will enjoy your entire home stay because of the location; it is centrally located 10 minutes (driving time) between Downtown Seattle and Downtown Bellevue. Mercer Island is known for its small town ambiance and breathtaking parks. The suite is private, surrounded by a vast amount of colossal trees and receives a great amount of natural light all day. Our location can accommodate solo adventurers, business travelers, families (with kids) and couples.

Private Garden Cottage

The cottage is a private, self-contained unit, featuring a well-stocked kitchenette, tiled shower, bedroom loft with french doors opening onto a deck, flat screen TV, DVD player, wifi, Bluetooth wireless speaker, and off street parking. Dog weight limit 25 pounds. Noise may be an issue for some due to airplanes. Stairs to the loft are steep. We are also located on a steep hill. We provide coffee/tea, juice, and some snacks. Everyone is welcome here.
