Our living room features a massive lounge-worthy sectional with a smart TV, soft blankets, and plenty of pillows. We also offer free use of the washer and dryer. While you will have full access everything listed here, part of the 1st floor (full blocked off with private separate entrance) is another Airbnb unit. You may run into other guests due to a shared outdoor gated entry but each unit has a separate private and secure entrance into the Airbnbs. The kitchen and dining area are right above the 1st floor Airbnb, so we appreciate not walking with your shoes (if loud) upstairs. Within 5 to 10 minutes are the Medical Center, NRG, and Downtown Houston! Less than 15 minutes away are the BBVA Compass Stadium, Minute Maid Park, Rice University, University of Houston, Texas Southern University, the Houston Zoo, Museum District and many many wonderfully diverse culinary options from food trucks to breweries to steakhouses! Approximately 15 seconds to highway 288 which gets you downtown in around 8 minutes. Stay here and you don't have to fight street traffic on top of freeway/highway traffic! Street parking in front of the house along the grass is plentiful! Most of the owners park here since our garages tend to be for storage :) No Pets Allowed (We are very allergic!). We also appreciate you leaving your shoes in the foyer since we have soft pine wood flooring upstairs. You will have access to the townhouse through our gated side yard. There is a small 2nd story patio that you will have all to your self as well. Great spot for winding down after a long day with some of Houston's finest craft beers. The side yard and patio are both wonderfully lit for both safety and atmosphere. Please do not walk to back of house on 1st floor as this is a separate Airbnb unit. Part of the first floor is also an Airbnb unit so please reach out to us using the Airbnb app's messaging system. We recently moved closer to downtown so we're still just minutes away and can help with issues you may be having. We do clean our own units so don't be surprised to run into us as we're cleaning the other Airbnb :) This unique metal-clad townhouse complex sits right in the heart of an urban neighborhood in inner-loop Houston. Less than a 5-minute drive from downtown, diverse culinary options are on the doorstep, from food trucks to breweries and steakhouses. Minutes from the new HEB and other amenities. Hobby Airport is 15-30 Minutes away depending on traffic. George Bush Airport is 30-40 minutes away depending on traffic. Local bus station is a 6 minute walk away. You can bike to the closest rail line station. This is Texas though so driving (including Uber) is usually the easiest way to get around. We will send more detailed access instructions (tips, really) the day of or the day prior to your arrival, so please keep an eye out for that. Access to the unit is completely host-free, so you can check in at any time after 3pm and come and go as you please, no matter the time! The builders of this space spared no expense on the details and finishes of this property. It is exquisite! The private entrance makes it feel like your own slice of Austin. Speaking of slices: check out East Side Pies for pizza nearby and The Wheel, Whislers, or Kitty Cohen’s for a cocktail! The Mueller development is 2 miles away where the H-E-B grocery store is located if you’re looking to cook your own meals in the kitchen. Guest access is through the right-side fence gate while facing the main house on property from the street. Access codes will be provided upon booking. The carriage house includes a balcony patio that guests may use. We’re available when you need us and you can also have all the privacy you like. We’ll gladly give you suggestions of things to see and do in Austin. The home is set in the East Austin neighborhood of Chestnut and a short drive away from vibrant eateries, BBQ joints, brewpubs, and parks. The University of Texas is nearby and Downtown’s iconic music venues and nightlife are minutes away by car. The MLK, Jr. Red Line light rail station is a short 8min walk from the unit and can be used to get into downtown or to AustinFC soccer games! Uber or Lyft are recommended to get around Austin. You can usually find one of the scooters 🛴 down the street near MLK Blvd as well. If you have a personal vehicle or rental car you may use street parking in front of the main home. Open the yellow front door and enter a living room/kitchen combination that's got everything you need to relax comfortably after a long day riding the streetcar, strolling through Audubon Park and eating poboys and crawfish at Frankie & Johnny's. The cheery bathroom has subway tiles on the wall and penny rounds on the floor. Two giant oak trees in front of the house provide a leafy green canopy for most of the year. You have your own completely private apartment and your own balcony. My place is clean, modern, private, light and furnished with attention to detail and design. It's close to Barton Springs & Zilker Park, ABGB, Soup Peddler - Real Food & Juice Bar, Gourdough's, Papalote, Phoenicia, Broken Spoke, Torchy's, Red's Porch, Kerbey Lane, Matt's El Rancho, Patika Cafe, Bouldin Creek Cafe, Wheatsville, Maria's. You’ll love the views into the trees, the location, the ambiance, the quiet near the action. My place is good for couples, solo adventurers, business travelers, and families (but not child-proof). The kitchen opens into the dining area and living room, and there are two separate bedrooms. The interior space is 750 sf, and the back deck is roughly 280 sf. The large sliding glass doors in both the living room and one of the bedrooms lend an indoor-outdoor living atmosphere, adding space and the feeling of being up in the trees. My place is the back unit in a duplex. It's very private and quiet, set off from the street. I'm easy to reach via Airbnb messaging, email or phone, happy to offer local tips. And of course I'm available should anything come up during your stay, as is the housekeeper. Listen to the quietness of this green and hilly neighborhood, close to Zilker Park and Barton Springs. This is a 57 square meter apartment with very high brick ceilings, a large living room and dining area with a lot of light. Find authentic chic mid century furniture and several art pieces. The apartment has a private bedroom with queen size bed, closet and bathroom and a separate kitchen with supplies. It also has two small inner patios for light and ventilation. A lot of original architecture details from 1940 like floors, brick walls, ceiling and windows frames were conserved in the restoration. The project was recently featured in Architectural Digest Mexico and won several important architecture prizes: Architecture Masterprize and NoldiSchreck. Guest may use the whole apartment. You can also hang out in the inner patio of the condo and first floor lobby. There is also a laundry room with washer and dryer you can use next to the garage. Santa María La Ribera is a historic 19th-century neighborhood. Stroll in the Alameda Park opposite, then visit the nearby Museo de Geología. Here, gaze at mammoth and dinosaurs fossils, plus paintings by the famous Mexican master Jose María Velasco. You'll find a lot of public transportations options including subway, metrobus (direct line to the airport and historic center), train, bus and public bike system (ecobici). Metrobus Linea 4 norte is a direct connection from the airport T1 and T2 to Buenavista and back. Takes about 45 min. 30 Pesos/person, a rechargable Metrocard is need. Safe, quick and direct way to and from the airport.
