I will introduce you to the cats and dogs that we live with and care for in the Moda neighborhood. We’ll start our journey by going to a local store to buy some treats for them. (They don’t like every brand so it’s better I show you which to buy). Then, we’ll explore Moda’s vibrant streets in search of our furry-friends. You’ll learn their stories, routines, and meet their buddies and alliances. Who knows? Maybe you will be rewarded with a tiny nose kiss! You will also get to know how they have become such an important part of our community. Moda is a lively, artsy, and close-knit community that has taken an entirely new approach to the care of its street cats and dogs. Our focus has been to ‘adopt’ stray animals as a community- not as individuals- to tag and feed our four-legged friends, to provide medical help when needed, and of course to shower them with love and affection. (pistachios coffee and turkish coffee, delter, coffee coctails etc) Learn to play local traditional games in an old hidden coffee shop. We will meet in Kadıköy and will be using Nostalgic Tram to see around. We will be tasting great street food (mussel dolma, fried mussel, kokoreç, Turkish beer, baklava) in Kadıköy open bazaar where locals eat and shopping . Then I will show you murals, antique flea market, historical neighbourhoods and local life by walking. I am a sociologist so I can inform you about Turkish people and society. I am interested in photography so I will show you the best spots for photography in Kadıköy. Would you like to join them? -Visit a very local part of the city, Kadıköy and be a local Istanbuler for a few hours. -Learn to play traditional Kahvehane games (Turkish rumicub/mahjong and backgamon) -Watch how professional old people play it eachother. -Drink turkish black tea, kiwi tea or Turkish coffee as other locals. -Visit 3 different "Kahvehanes" in a local neighbourhood. -Learn about the history of Ottoman Coffeehouses -Learn about the history of rumicub/mahjong like games I learned how to play these games while I was 6-8 years old in my hometown with my grandparents. During my highschool times I was in "Kahvehane"s to play it with my own friends. Now I love teaching and playing all of these traditional games with people who are interested inlocal games. We'll see a football game together and experience how Turkish fans in Turkey live football. We will witness the passion, customs, and meaning of supporting a team in Istanbul. We'll see the colorful fans, hear the sound of the drums, sing the songs, and hopefully taste a victory! From the meeting point until the stadium we will be doing what Turkish fans do. We will walk to places where they paint with club colors, have a beer or soda where they drink and hopefully, we will be singing their pre-game songs together with them. Thanks to my experience with these games inside and outside Turkey, I can guarantee you that I exactly know what a fan needs before, during, and after the game. I, personally, will be your guide during the whole experience. I will be next to you the whole game giving you hints for making your experience better. You don't have to worry about tickets, logistics, security, or anything else: just enjoy the game! I will be providing a ticket and the information needed about that specific game we will attend to. The event offers a joyfull time at my studio which is nice space settled in the garden. My will is participants meet the traditional Turkish ceramic culture, learn making process and have an enjoyable time creating their own ceramics and a nice memory from Turkey. First before, we will transfer the designs on hand made ceramic plate or tile then we will draw the desings by brush and paint them with ceramic paints using traditional colors. After workshop the finished works will be covered glaze and fired by me. After that the participants might receive their works or the works will be delivered to their adresses. Hope you join us.

Would you like to see where locals hangout in Istanbul? Hop on a ferry to another continent and a completely different part of Istanbul, center of local life, the Asia side. We will see the most famous bars in Istanbul and will see where people drink alcohol in public, back alleys of Moda Neighbourhood. Also we will taste the famous, national drink of Turkey, Raki. We will be in a traditional pub (meyhane) for that, where we can taste some mezes as well. Then we’ll eat some street food and famous snacks around bars. These are the things people eat here as they get drunk. We'll then head to the beautiful Moda sea - side park, where locals hangout with their friends drinking their alcohols and coffees. (You can find public transportion from Kadıköy to almost anywhere in Istanbul 7/24) My experiences are designed to be interactive, so we’ll have plenty of time for questions and answers along the way. After shopping in the local markets in Kadıköy we come to our kitchen which is 10 minutes drive from the center of Kadıköy. After a glass of traditional Turkish tea/coffee we start preparing the products according to chosen recepies. I will guide you through this exciting process so then we can do the styling and plating once the dish is ready. Then we will take photos with professional shooting equipment&lights.
