The Walnut Tree B & B is located in Zana, a hamlet in the upper part of Abbadia Lariana on the eastern shore of Lake Como. We are one hour away from Milan, 2 (email hidden) away from Mandello del Lario and 3 km away from Abbadia Lariana. I suggest to arrive by car, otherwise If you arrive by train, we can pick you up by car from the train station of Mandello or Abbadia Lariana. The part of the house given over to the B&B has been sensitively restored and has the character of an old country house, complete with a balcony with views over the lake. The two rooms have private bathrooms. In summer you can have your breakfast served on the terrace in the garden. A few kilometers away is the town of Varenna, where boats depart for the lake. The whole area is known for the famous mountain "Grigna", a wonderful place for walking and climbing. If you enjoy motorcycles, be sure to visit the museum of Guzzi motorcycle. Abbadia is the perfect place to swim: there are no private homes that overlook the beautiful beach. Our b&b was built inside a trullo formed by 3 cones and located in the historic and tourist center of Alberobello, a UNESCO heritage site. The trullo has been recently renovated respecting all the historical and architectural features of the structure without renouncing modern comforts. In addition, it has a large garden at the complete disposal of customers only with hot tube. Every morning, a full breakfast will be served inside your room kindly prepared by Mamma Nunzia.
