The Lakeside River House

The cottage lies on the banks of Lake Rousseau. This is a very interesting lake. The lake is fed by the crystal clear waters of the Rainbow Springs system and the dark tannin stained waters of the Withlacoochee River. Back in the 1930's, the water shed was dammed up on its far western edge. The result was a creation of a 12 mile long lake with a river twisting through the center, all of which you will enjoy from your waters edge dock. Come and enjoy the Nature Coast right from the backyard.

Relaxing water view retreat. Our River House is located in a nature's paradise, and is an animal free property due to the owner’s and their families severe allergies. We are just 5 minutes from enjoying everything that Homosassa has to offer. We are off a canal that leads to a nature reserve and is about 3 miles to Monkey Island. Canoes are on property so you can explore the unobserved beauty of the river. Skiffs smaller than 17ft are best to dock in our canal that leads to the river.

Our house has large picture windows overlooking the river, marsh and sunset over the gulf. A terrace to sit out and a private dock to the waters edge and to our own island with a picnic table. We have 3 rooms with 4-poster beds, a 4th room with a double-person futon, 2 family rooms, a well designed kitchen and lots of space to entertain. There's lots of land to stroll around the property. If you are looking to unwind and enjoy nature, this place will afford you the peace and quiet.

1.5 miles from Weeki Wachee State Park. Charming, quiet, quaint cottage, beach theme, quiet neighborhood. 2 bedrooms, 1 bathroom. Fully equipped kitchen with pots, pans, utensils, plates, glasses, coffee cups, wine glasses, coffee maker, air fryer, toaster and blender. Outdoor sitting area with a charcoal grill and a fire pit. This location is centrally located between Homosassa and Crystal River and is a convenient drive to visit Three Sister's Springs in Crystal River or enjoy dining or boating along the Homosassa River. This studio home offers one queen size bed, a pull-out sofa, and small kitchenette (Park Grill in backyard). The pull-out sofa would be comfortable for 1 adult or 2 children.
