Refined Boutique Apartment with Balcony

The old world aesthetic of this contemporary space. The residence showcases antique style furnishings and decor, hardwood flooring, original design features, subtle uses of colour throughout, and a covered outdoor dining area. The 72 square meter apartment is in an old block which boasts all the space of yesteryear. It has been lovingly renovated and decorated, so it offers comfortable modern living. It has been split into four main rooms; the kitchen, bathroom, bedroom and lounge. There is also an outdoor terrace. The bedroom has large built in cupboards along with a queen size bed. The bathroom has vanity, wc and shower - nice and spacious. The kitchen is fully equipped. Guests have full and free access to every inch of the appartment. My business partner Andrew and/or I will remain on call for your entire stay should you ever need us, no matter the reason! We'd be thrilled to offer up all our local knowledge - from the best restaurants, bars and nightclubs to breakfasts, bakeries and butcheries; where to hike, dive, fly or surf; where to find madness, stillness, paintings or jazz or second-hand books...you'll have our numbers. The apartment is located close to a main access route onto the Atlantic Seaboard. All the Green Point bars, restaurants, grocery stores, and coffee shops are around the corner. It is a 15 minute walk from the Green Point Park, too. The simplest way to get around is with Uber, otherwise meter taxis are aplenty and operate 24/7. The MyCiti bus stop is directly outside the apartment, named Skyeway. If you're driving, remember that rush hour in Cape Town is generally a little earlier, say 4pm...except on Fridays, when it's 3pm. Work life balance.

Simplicity and Comfort in a Beautiful Old Building

Seek sanctuary in the beauty of this old Victorian-style building that's the ideal place to quietly unwind. The balcony doors open up for plenty of light and fresh air from the garden. The 2 single beds in one of the bedrooms can be converted to a King size bed for a second couple or kept separate. Guests will sign in with security at the gate. I'll be staying in my painting studio which is not far away and I will be available at all times to assist. Long Street and the surrounding neighbourhood has an amazing collection of restaurants, bars, and cafes. All essentials are within walking distance, including supermarkets and pharmacies. The apartment has it's own garage to park your hire car and it is within 100m of where taxis congregate waiting for fares. For short stays, a house keeper will come in before check in and at check out. For longer stays, she will come in a couple of times a week (after 11am; Mon & Thurs); there is no additional cost, the extra cleaning just helps to keep things manageable. She will be available to do your washing & ironing if you request it. Note on the parking garage: The lock-up garage was designed for normal sedan size vehicles and will, unfortunately, not accommodate large 4WD's and panel vans. For guests that are going to be using a larger vehicle, there is a shopping center up the road that has overnight parking available (R100/night)

Uber is inexpensive and a great way of getting around Cape Town.
