Secluded, quiet and peaceful, Port Moluag is within easy reach of the Scottish mainland whilst feeling totally removed from the pace and noise of city life. Am Fuaran Isle of Iona Am Fuaran is situated in Iona Village, beside the Argyll Hotel. Long ago Islanders had Summer houses where people stayed during the holiday season to allow guests to stay in their main residence. Am Fuaran was such a building which has had various tenants over the last few decades. It makes an ideal Summer Bothy. It is a tin building with a concrete floor and although not luxurious it is cosy. It is the perfect private space for a single person or couple.

Our cosy caravan is set within our garden with views across to Ben More and the Burg from the comfort from the living room window. We are so lucky here on the Ross of Mull to be amongst lots of amazing wildlife from golden eagles, sea eagles and hen harriers to the resident red deer, seals and otters. We are just two miles away from some of the most beautiful white sandy beaches in the Hebrides, perfect for a picnic in summer and equally dramatic for a walk on a stormy day!

Our cosy larch grass roofed cabin situated within a working croft in the Ross of Mull is the perfect place for a relaxing getaway. With views across Staffa & the Treshnish Isles, you can watch the sun rise over Ben More and set over Lunga from the comfort of the sofa. We’ve ditched the mod cons with no TV, wifi & phone signal and replaced them with good old fashioned boardgames, a great stack of books and selection of old & new vinyl for the record player.

The Bothan

The island is easily accessible by the nearby Calmac passenger ferry from Gallanach, near the mainland town of Oban.
