We’ll meet at the trailhead, sign waivers and make sure that everyone has the necessary gear for the hike. We’ll hike up the mountain and I’ll show you some tropical fruit trees and interesting plants. You’ll also learn about native species and how to protect them. We’ll then enter a bamboo forest in which will take some cool pictures. I’ll then guide you to a trail where a lot of native species still exist. Your hiking boots will be sprayed to avoid contamination of a spreading disease that is killing one of the native species. We’ll then reach a lookout that offers amazing views of the Ko’olau Mountains, the Windward side, and of a famous waterfall. After snacks, our group will be guided to a place only locals know of and will be granted more beautiful views of the mountains and the city. After that amazing experience, we’ll hike down back to the trailhead in awe of everything we have experienced.
I’m an avid experienced hiker who has great love for the wilderness and nature preservation. Hiking on a daily basis has given me important knowledge of trail conditions, weather patterns, ability, conditioning and gear need for each trail. I have been immersed in nature since a very young age. When I was growing up hiking wasn’t a thing, we called it an outdoor/nature exploration: no phones, gps, etc. I was also a Girl Scout for about 6 years and have been solo hiking in Hawaii’s most advanced trails on the last 4 years. I’m CPR certified and have a great understanding of Hawaii’s trails, hiking safety and island weather. If it isn’t safe to hike on a specific date, we’ll reschedule it or hike a different trail. I love showing the beauty of this island through less known trails while educating people on trail and nature preservation.
We’ll hike on a trail that will take us to a magnificent Hawaiian native forest with awesome views of the island, away from the crowds. On our experience, we’ll see tropical fruit trees, native plants, and learn about invasive species and how to prevent them from spreading. I’ll take you on a place only locals know of! There we’ll have awesome views of the mountains, city, and ocean.

This is considered an easy to easy moderate hiking route. It does rain quite often there, so rain gear is encouraged and a change of shoes/clothes for after the hike. There will be slippery spots and incline, but nothing too strenuous/difficult. You’d be in good physical condition to hike ~3 miles
