Newly renovated industrial vintage apartment ideally located in the Eixample Derecha district also known as the "Golden Triangle" of Barcelona, on a 5 min’ walking distance from Passeig de Gracia and Sagrada Famila with fancy bars, restaurants & shops. Decorated with original vintage furniture and pieces of art. The apartment has been recently renovated (April 2014) and we were keen in maintaining all the original details of 1930 like the high brick vaulted ceilings and typical Barcelona tile floors. We decorated it putting all our love and dedication into it. The apartment has original vintage furniture from all over Europe (mainly from the late fifties) and art pieces from local and international artists. The neighborhood has plenty of " chic" or more local restaurants, fancy bars and grocery stores. The location is a must as it is 5 min walk from the famous Gaudi House "La Pedrera (Casa Mila)" and Passeig the Gracia with all its luxury stores. The Sagrada Familia is 4 blocks away and can be easily reached by foot. The apartment has been used by several production houses to shoot commercials. The nearest Metro is Verdaguer (yellow line) at the end of the street (2 min walk) and brings you directly to all the interesting places e.g old town, beach ... The kitchen is fully equipped and has all the utensils you may need to cook. It has also a build in extra large washing machine. The apartment has a Nespresso coffee machine and a filter coffee machine. Luxury linen and towels are provided including organic bathing products (i.e. moisturizing shampoo, moisturizing shower gel, body lotion, facial cleanser, and soap). Baby chairs and baby beds can be provided upon request. A cleaning and cooking service can be offered during your stay as well as a taxi service to and from the airport. Public parking is available in front of the apartment (outside) and free depending of the area and timing. The apartment is newly restyled with a very special taste, mixing different styles in the architecture and design. It is a 2 floors apartment at the last floor of a mid 20th century building right outside the historical city center: at the first floor there are the bedrooms (a Suite and a second bedroom) the bathroom and a wardrobe room. The Suite is introduced by an elegant living area with a separè industry in glass and iron dividing it from the double bedroom with balcony and fireplace. The second bedroom has a big wardrobe with mirrors, a fine couch and twin beds to be disposed at one's will. Through an elegant white marble staircase we have access to the brand new rooftop kitchen and the wide terrace with a view on the hills sorrounding Florence and spots of the old buildings of the historic center. The apartment is entirely reserved to our guests, access to it is by the staircase or by elevator with private access to the floor. The rooftop terrace is only for our guests with sole access from inside the apartment by a staircase. At the same floor in a separate flat live the owners, always ready to help! The owner lives next door and is always available if needed. Chez Geraldine is an apartment just outside the historical center. It’s predominantly a residential district, but the cathedral, Galleria dell'Accademia, and Piazza San Marco are a 15-minute walk away. Food stores, restaurants, and bars are close by. AVAILABLE 4 BIKES (adult size) for our guests, included in the price. Please, use it with care and lock it well each and any time you leave them without custody, thank you. L'appartamento è posto al primo piano di un edificio la cui costruzione risale alla fine del 1400 d.c. Palazzo Tenore Cianci è oggi sottoposto a vincolo della Soprintendenza. Il restauro dell'appartamento ha recuperato una serie di elementi , quali travi e architravi in legno risalenti all'epoca di costruzione. La pavimentazione invece risulta essere in resina di cemento, giusta contrapposizione agli elementi architettonici originali. Lo spazio si disloca attraverso un grande open space nel quale si susseguono living, grande cucina e sala pranzo. Allo stesso livello sono presenti una camera da letto matrimoniale con balcone su Via San Gregorio Armeno, due bagni e la lavanderia. Al piano superiore, al quale si accede tramite una comoda scala si trovano altre due stanze da letto matrimoniali, di cui una provvista di letto alla francese (140x200). Il Concrete Apartment è facilmente raggiungibile essendo in pieno centro della città. Dall'aeroporto di Capodichino parte ogni 25 minuti una navetta Alibus che ferma alla stazione dei treni di Piazza Garibaldi. Da qui si può raggiungere a piedi in 15 minuti l'appartamento, oppure si può prendere la linea 1 della metropolitana e scendere alla fermata Università che dista circa 10 minuti a piedi (la fermata Duomo è in fase di completamento). A circa 10 minuti a piedi si può raggiungere la stazione della Circumvesuviana dalla quale partono i treni per i siti archeologici di Pompei ed Ercolano. Converted barn in 100 acres of land. A home from home crammed with books, games and toys. Easily accommodates at least 10 people comfortably. The garden, pond, woods and parking areas are all exclusively yours for the stay. We live up the lane from the barn. So you have privacy. We have chickens, ducks, Sheep and pigs on the farm. 5 mins drive from J28 of the M5. 20mins from Exeter centre. Not near any good beaches so don't choose us for a beach holiday. There is no spa or hot tub.
