Named after Lady Maxwell, a former resident of Buittle Castle, the room is appointed in the Gothic Revival and Arts and Crafts styles. The room is on the ground floor, with its own private access to the courtyard (with one step) and its own ensuite bathroom with shower. Full Scottish or Continental breakfast is included. We are in an area of outstanding national beauty-on the Solway coast and on the Hadrian's wall walking route.

This is a new part of our complex, which is a 10 room bed and breakfast. We also have 4 shepherds huts and 4 apartments We have our own bar and bistro and a small shop, all open every day. We are an ideal location for Starting or finishing the Hadrians wall walk, as the start/end point is just over the road from us. There is a bus stop outside our entrance

The Haven B&B is a 18th century cottage set on the banks of the Dee river in the small village of Bridge of Dee. The nearest town is three miles away, Castle Douglas, known as The Food Town of Dumfries & Galloway district. This village is very rural with beautiful country side ideal for walks, cycling, fishing and wildlife.
