Cabin was sustainability built with trees from the 20 acres it sits on. McAfee's Knob trailhead is 10 minutes away, Andy Layne trailhead to tinker cliffs is 9 minutes away.

I decided to share it with others who love to explore, who love listening to the voice of the creek or who come just to sit on the porch high above the creek with a spouse, friend, family, or alone. Their 2 bedroom 1 Bath home is located right in the Town of New Castle, where my granny was the Treasurer for many years. It’s fully furnished and features eat in kitchen, washer and dryer, and fenced in yard. Walking distance to town… and It’s not real far from Roanoke or Blacksburg. Close to Wilderness Adventure, and it’s less than 27 mins to the Furthest Trailhead in Va’s Triple crown!

Built for $500.00 dollars "back-in-the-day," the Earlehurst Cottage was inhabited by The Carters, a humble, cute old country couple. Here, they raised two daughters. Today, the house is tastefully appointed where expected - & comfortable to modern standards - yet, it has been left as charming, rustic & cozy as it had always been: with elements of the original decor, windows, plaster walls, etc., being preserved. Pets stay for free!
