The Saddlery Cottage

Beautiful converted cottage in the grounds of an historic Victorian country house in rural Wales. Wood-burning stove, Wi-Fi, stunning views of the Black Mountains. Perfect for walkers, cyclists, garden-lovers, or horse-riders of all ages. Just 450 yards on a private drive through the estate from a barn which sleeps 8 (see 'Eco-Barn in the Brecon Beacons'). Ideal also for larger gatherings. Dogs welcome; a maximum of two permitted. The cottage is located on a 19th century country house estate of about 10 acres of gardens, lawns and woods. There are three bedrooms - a double ensuite on the ground floor, and two upstairs bedrooms (two doubles, one can be made up as twin beds) that share a large bathroom. A double-height kitchen and an open plan living/dining area with a banquette, a woodburning stove, two large comfy sofas and fabulous views. One side of the cottage looks onto a cobbled stable yard, and the other onto its own garden, then beyond that parkland, Llangorse Lake and the Black Mountains. Fabulous restaurants and farm shops are within a short drive as well as the lake, with boating facilities, beautiful walks out of your front door, and great biking trails. An all-around perfect location for a peaceful holiday in rural Wales. The cottage has its own entrance and parking, also its own garden with a table and chairs. Guests are welcome to explore the grounds of Treberfydd House, and are free to bring up to two pets. My husband and I and our family live a couple of minutes' walk from the Saddlery, and are available to help with any questions guests may have. Completely rural idyll - Perfect for those who want to escape the city and drink in the joys of the countryside. You would need a car to get around. Wellies are recommended, and good walking gear advisable for the hills. Booking is normally for a minimum of three nights. The Byre @ Nantygwreiddyn Barns

Reconnect with nature and enjoy the spectacular views from our hill farm in the Black Mountains. The historic stone barn has been sympathetically converted into two adjoining cottages. The Byre, with two double bedrooms and The Sheep Pen, a double bedroom with double sofa bed downstairs. Fully self contained with kitchen areas, internet, smart TVs, handy USB sockets in all rooms and bedding and towels provided. Guests have access to our 60 acres of land where we keep rare breed sheep and deer.

Ty Carreg cottage, Bwlch, Brecon

Have fun with the whole family in this Stylish and Beautifully converted cottage in the Heart of the Brecon Beacons. Nestle up in front of the wood burning stove on a cold night, enjoy a BBQ on the patio or a morning drink on the balcony. The cottage is within an active small holding complex that hosts a variety of friendly farm animals. Lots of local attractions, including Walking, cycling, water sports, horse riding, climbing and eating out at the local pub less than 100m down the road.

Old Byre Barn: Brecon Beacons Historic Cottage

The Old Byre dates back to the 17th Century & forms part of a charming range of historically listed farm buildings at Llandetty Hall Farm, situated in the heart of the stunning Brecon Beacons National Park. The barn is set in 15 acres of private pasture on the Mon Brec canal, between the villages of Talybont on Usk & Llangynidr. The spacious barn boasts a log burner & use of the adjacent communal games barn. It uses electricity created by our solar panels & benefits from underfloor heating.

Mountain View Farm Cottage

Farm cottage with wonderful views, high in the hills of the Black Mountains in Bannau Brycheiniog (the Brecon Beacons) National Park. Enjoy the many walking and cycling routes in the area, or simply relax in an armchair by the log burner. Pen Y Caeau Farm cottage is self-contained with its own entrance and private terrace, set on our farm and adjoins the main farmhouse. Peaceful yet close to Crickhowell, Abergavenny and Hay-on-Wye by car, it is the perfect base for exploring or relaxation.

There is walking directly up onto the mountain side from the house. Great local cycle trails with a local pub which has won awards, shop and café, all walking distance from the house.

Hafod y Llyn is located in the 19th-century stable yard at Treberfydd House. Formerly the stables, it is now a peaceful, stylish and newly redecorated two-bedroom cottage with uninterrupted views across parkland, where sheep graze or wildflowers grow, depending on the season. Located in an International Dark Sky reserve, and a short walk from Llangorse lake, this is a special setting and an ideal base from which to explore the Bannau Brycheiniog national park and the Black Mountains.
