At 4,100 feet we have hiking, zip lining and waterfalls,romantic winters and summers with temps in the 70's - low 80's. You’ll love this place because of the coziness, warmth and charm of a classic mountain log cabin with all the modern comforts. Brookside cottage is newly renovated and surrounded by forest in the mountains of western North Carolina. A mountain stream descends in front of the cottage providing an restful water feature. Located in Transylvania county between Brevard and Cashiers, the area is named the “Land of Waterfalls”. Supplies (food, drink, etc.) are available 2 miles from cottage. Caution to low riding cars/sports cars: the last half mile to this cottage is a gravel road and must ford a small stream.

To all of our guests for 2024- FYI : The private lake that is the back drop to our house will be empty all year due to the owner’s development. Rain will allow it to look full at times.
