The Captains Quarters at Sylvanrude is a step into a forest of Douglas Fir, Cedar, and Hemlock. The small apartment is above a garage, and is equipped with a coved ceiling bathroom, (tall folks beware) full kitchen, cozy sleeping area with a new queen bed on antique frame, TV with DVDs only, (wifi is through MIFI, a Verizon source), a private beach fire pit with beach access, and the most amazing sunsets over Case Inlet. Starting at the front, walk up the steps to the left of the house, following the brick path to the back yard. The AirBnB access is through the smaller door on the left. There is an electronic door knob lock which gives access to the unit. When you enter you will go up the steep stair case and at the top you have arrived. Welcome. Your space is private from ours. The door and stairs are about 24 inches wide and steep.

Here on Miami Beach, or "my yummy beach" as a certain three-year-old once called it, you will have front-row seats to the grandeur of the Hood Canal where the Olympic Mountains rise majestically from the depths of the sea. Our unique cottage resort is situated right on the water's edge. Cottage #1 is the easternmost of three attached units. The hot tub is outside of Cottage #1 and is shared among all three units.
