Visitors to this wonderful area can stay within the grounds of Knockbrex Castle. The area is a walkers and biking paradise and just a short walk (5-10 minutes) to various beaches. Travel a little to sample the delights in the local area like the chocolate of the Cocoabean Company. Enjoy a walk to the local pubs for lunch at Gatehouse of Fleet or Borgue. Netherthird is a stunning detached farmhouse set in a wonderfully elevated position, with the most glorious views of the surrounding Galloway Hills. Netherthird was fully renovated in 2020 and has been lovingly furnished to ensure a truly comfortable and welcome family retreat. There is an amazing barbecue hut, with charcoal barbecue and ample seating, perfect for enjoying with friends and a glass or two of wine. Relax in the large hot tub taking in the clear dark skies at night.

Alma Cottage. Borgue

Alma Cottage is a charming 19th century Galloway Roadmans cottage in the picturesque village of Borgue, 5 miles from Kirkcudbright. With miles of coastline to enjoy; walking, cycling, and wildlife enthusiasts will be in their element in rural Galloway, as Alma Cottage provides a perfect retreat to escape from life’s fast pace. The surrounding area boasts attractions such as the 7 Stanes mountain bike trails, Laggan outdoor, Cream ‘O’ Galloway & many castles to mention a few.

Oak Tree Hut

Unfortunately no dogs/children/infants are allowed. Oak Tree Hut is situated on our working sheep farm in Dumfries and Galloway. The views from the hut looks over St John’s Town of Dalry and up onto the Rhinns of Kells. Lie in bed watching the sunrise and sit on the verandah or soak in the outside bath while watching the sunset. Watch the bird life and livestock peacefully fly and amble by. The hut has everything you need to make your stay comfortable and memorable.

An old stone bothy converted in 2017, the accommodation offers a private open plan space with it's own entrance, patio garden and parking. Situated on a smallholding looking out to sea in a beautiful region on the Solway coast, secluded beaches and coves are only a 15 minute stroll and the artists town of Kirkcudbright a short drive away. We offer a 15% discount for weekly stays.
