We designed a thatched roof cabana built with natural materials straight out of the jungle. Get close to nature and explore our garden and surrounding farm. The 4-acre property includes an outdoor fresh rainwater catchment system. Our neighbors, also farmers, are living as simply as possible, happily growing their own food, raising families and staying healthy.

Long Term Stay in the country Not for Sissies

Must love chickens. This is a little house that we built for our son in 2016. It is next door to our house where we rent a room on Airbnb (Close to Town but in the Country). This is best for longer term, researchers or folks wanting to get to know the area. Welcome are people who love Belize and all its quirks. Unwelcome are people who want to try to make money from Belizeans or sit in the house and complain about the insects, rain, culture, etc. Sorry but true. Good references required.

On a private half acre this two bedroom, one bath home with a 300sq ft loft, and a 500sq ft veranda has breath taking views and sounds! We are close to the San Ignacio town center, Burns Ave, the amazing Saturday farmers market. Nine miles from the Guatemala Border, with day trips to Tikal, Florence, or just shop in Melcher.

Two private suites available. They rent separately. This listing is the 1 bedroom upstairs unit. It can sleep 2 adults and has blow-up mattress available for kids. The second story suite has one bedroom and one full bath with tub/shower combination. Has a full kitchen and living dining room with new furnishings. It has a 500 square foot patio with ranch and jungle views, seating and gas grill. Rent both units for groups up to 6 adults, 2 kids.

We are located on a lovely beach with shady palms - in the Garifuna fishing village of Hopkins. Our charming Casita has its own deck where you have a view of the waterfall, and all of the amenities including a kitchenette well-equipped with a stove-top burner, small fridge, coffee maker, and all cooking implements. There is also a full private bathroom. Beds in the main bedroom can be arranged into two single beds or turned into a King. A double pull-out futon is available in the main living room.
